Two Switches

To enable Switch Access tap  in the top toolbar.

 

With Two Switches selected, books in Run View become accessible with Two Switches using either Direct Access or Scan.

Direct Access

With Direct Access selected, Switch 1 turns to the next page (equivalent of pressing the forward arrow). Switch 2 can be set to either:

 

• Go back - returns to the previous page (equivalent of pressing the back arrow).
• Speak page text - all text boxes on the page are read aloud.
• Play video - the first video on the page is played.

You can also choose to have an automatic action when a page opens:

 

• Play Video - the first video on the page is played automatically when a page is opened.
• Read Text - all text boxes on the page are read aloud automatically when a page is opened.

The sound option enables you to provide additional feedback:

 

• Beep when Switch is pressed - select whether or not an audible beep is played when a Switch is pressed.

Scan

With Scan selected, Switch 2 moves the scan between items. Switch 1 selects the highlighted item.

 

• Colour - opens the colour picker to set the scan colour.
• Sound - select whether or not an audible beep is played when an item is scanned and/or when an item is selected.

Switch Box

Switch Access requires an APPlicator Switch Box. Plug in your switch box and press a switch to confirm it's connected.
