Record & Play Button

A Record & Play Button can hold sound. You can record something (up to one minute) or load a sound file.

 

To edit a Record & Play Button, you must be in edit view.

 

To change its size and position, see page layout.

Recording

To record a sound, select the Record & Play Button and then tap  in the lower toolbar:

1. Tap  to start recording and then  to stop recording.
2. Tap  to hear your recording.
3. Tap Done to finish.

To listen back to your recording tap  in the lower toolbar.

 

Note: if a Record & Play button doesn't hold a sound, it won't be visible outside of Edit View.

 

The Record & Play Button will change from  to  to signify it now holds a sound.

Settings

With a Record & Play Button selected tap  to:

 

• Choose Sound File - browse your device for a sound file. Note: this will replace an existing recording.
• Play Sound When Page Opens - the user won't need to tap the button.
• Clear Contents - discard the recording/sound file.

Tap  to change the button's background colour.
