Text Box

A Text Box can hold formatted text.

 

To edit a Text Box, you must be in edit view.

 

To change its size and position, see page layout.

Writing

Double-tap a Text Box to start writing in it (or tap  in the lower toolbar).

 

While writing, the following support tools appear in the lower toolbar:

 

 Word Bank - show topic-based vocabulary (if included).

 

 Keyboard - show the on-screen keyboard.

 

 Predictor - show word predictions.

 

To finish writing tap anywhere outside the Text Box (or click Done in the lower toolbar).

Settings

With a Text Box selected tap  to change the texts:

 

• Font - the child-friendly Sassoon and Dyslexie fonts are included.
• Alignment - left, middle, or right.
• Size - drag the slider or chose between the small, medium, and large presets.

Tap  to change the colour of the Text Boxes:

 

• Background - you can also make it transparent.
• Text
• Border - you can also set the border's visibility and thickness.

Reading

To hear a page's Text Boxes read aloud, add a read button to the page.
