Classes and Users

By default, your User Options and recent files are saved against your Windows/Mac account.

 

Alternatively, you can set up a Class, which lets you:

 

  • Keep Class work together - the Class folder becomes the default when opening/saving files.
  • Add user profiles - each Class member can have their own options and recent files list.

Every Class has a General user. This is useful for establishing the default options for that particular Class.

 

If some individuals have unique requirements, you can add a User for them to personalize.

Create

To create a Class, open the New & Recent window and click Change. Click the Class box and choose Add.

 

A Class folder will be created in your Home location (see Explorer Options).

 

The Users within the selected Class are shown beneath. To add a User, click Add.

Rename/Delete

In the Options ribbon tab click  Manage, open the Files tab, and then click the Home location. This will open the folder in Windows Explorer/Mac Finder.

 

The Classes folder contains a folder for each Class. Each Class folder contains saved files and a _Users folder.

 

You are able to rename/delete a Class or User from within these folders.
