Text-to-Speech

Clicker Books can speak words back to you in a realistic voice. This provides useful feedback, draws attention to mistakes, and helps with punctuation choice.

 

We've collaborated with worldwide speech experts Acapela Group to produce tailor-made children's voices that sound clear and authentic.

Read Buttons

Use read buttons to hear text read aloud.

 

Typically, a page has one Read Button that reads all text when tapped.

 

However, if a page is set to free layout, it can have multiple Read Buttons that are each configured to read a specific text box (or even custom text).

While Writing

While writing in text boxes you can use Sound Shift to hear words spoken.

 

To enable Sound Shift tap  (once for single use; double-tap to keep it enabled).

 

When enabled tap these items to speak them:

 

• Predictor suggestions.
• Spell Check suggestions.
• Words in the Text Box.

By default, sentences will automatically be read aloud when completed with punctuation.
