Analytics

DocsPlus Analytics can provide deep insights into a writer's process.

It lists various Document statistics, including how each word was entered.

While a finished Document shows the result of the writing process, DocsPlus also records the journey taken to reach it. This is useful for measuring progress and judging support requirements.

For Cloze Documents, see Cloze Analytics.

Review

To review the current Document, click  Review in the Analytics ribbon tab. The words will become color-coded according to origin.

Click a word to see its origin, or browse the tabs on the right:

All - the overall composition of the total word count.

Keyboard - words typed using a physical or on-screen keyboard.

Predictor - words chosen from the Predictor. See any letters that were typed first and whether the suggestion was spoken before being chosen.

Wordbars - the Wordbars grids are listed on the left (unused hidden by default). Select a grid to see the words chosen from it. If other Wordbars were used, use the drop-down box above to switch between them. To open a used Wordbar, click Location, and then Open.

Spell Check - see the original spelling and whether the correction was spoken before being chosen.

Pasted - words copied and pasted from elsewhere.

On each tab, you can click a word to highlight its place in the Document.

You can also click Copy to capture a text-only summary of its contents (to then paste elsewhere).
